We're looking for an intern who is keen to assist our training team with providing high-quality, online and face-to-face mentorship to students on Hyperion's tech courses. We're also looking for interns who want to help our content team develop the best course content for our tech courses.
More widely, we need someone who wants to make a difference by assisting students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds change their lives and the lives of their families by entering the field of software through Hyperion's education.
What kind of person are we looking for?
We're looking for someone interested in gaining career-defining experience, working directly with partners like Google, The Python Software Foundation, and the South African government on projects and technologies that reach thousands. Work directly with our UK office - based at the University of Cambridge - all whilst enjoying flexible working hours, unlimited training, stock options, and access to all the tech you need.
In terms of skills, we need someone who is excellent at problem-solving and communication. Due to the technical nature of the role, we need someone with experience in at least one programming language who is studying towards or holds a degree in Computer Science (or related discipline).
Hyperion runs the largest mentor-led online course platform for tech skills education, based in South Africa.
We offer online courses in software development will uniquely pair a user with a one-on-one expert mentor to guide their entry into a software development career.
Originally formed by university students, we're now led by an ex-Google employee and Computer Science graduates from the University of Cambridge. We are Google's first and only partner in South Africa, and deliver services to thousands of people in 8+ countries.
Overall, our mission is to scale affordable, high quality mentor-led online training in software development and Computer Science to effectively bridge the tech skills gap in Europe an Africa.
